Julie joined Telstra in November 2024 as their Global Safety, Security & Wellbeing Executive, with a focus on keeping safety visible and practical to support and empower people to do safe, successful work, and thrive every day.

Julie brings a wealth of executive management and senior leadership experience spanning almost 25 years in Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability roles with a career of over 30 years spent in large, complex high risk industries including law enforcement, rail, mining, heavy manufacture, transport, utilities, services, and construction.

Julie is an authentic, enthusiastic and motivated leader focused on developing high performance multidisciplinary teams, strategically delivering value, and demonstrating thought leadership. She has a strong record of stakeholder partnership, delivering innovation and transformation, integrating HSE and Sustainability into organisational strategy, and driving performance and culture.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (OHS) from RMIT, and a Master of Engineering Science (Manufacturing Engineering and Management) from UNSW. She is a Chartered OHS Professional and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety, and Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
